  5. to movies; she is seen around with Sean Penn; someone is even
  6. publishing her biography next month. She is 24 and has been hot
  7. in the music business for all of six months. Or is that a
  8. lifetime these days? Her year-old first album, called Madonna,
  9. is now double platinum (meaning more than 2 million sales). Her
  10. second, Like a Virgin, came out three months ago and is triple
  11. platinum. Born Madonna Louise Ciccone in Bay City, Mich., the
  12. former Alvin Ailey dancer is among the sultriest of the video
  13. vamps, and now she is going for the big screen. She has a small
  14. role in the just-released Vision Quest and stars as the
  15. fast-living title character of Desperately Seeking Susan,
  16. expected out next month. "I shared a lot with Susan," says
  17. Madonna. "She's a free spirit and does what she wants. She's
  18. one of those people that you don't know where she gets her
  19. money, you don't know how she manages to look so good with so
  20. few pieces of clothing." Which does not sound much like a virgin
  21. at all.
